Nintendo Switch Online subscription to expand with N64, Sega Genesis titles

The Nintendo Switch Online subscription service will soon be expanding with the simply dubbed “Expansion Pack” membership with N64 and Sega Genesis titles! The official news post writes the following:

Get access to even more benefits, with a library of Nintendo 64™ games featuring newly added online play for up to 4 players* (get ready for 4-player, online Mario Kart™ 64 races), as well as retro SEGA Genesis™ classics!

All the other great benefits of Nintendo Switch Online are also included, such as access to 100+ classic NES™ and Super NES™ games, exclusive online matches in the Tetris® 99 and PAC-MAN™ 99 games, online play in some of your favorite games, and more!

Nintendo Switch Online members will also have the opportunity to purchase full-size wireless Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis controllers** to play these classic games the way they were meant to be played.

Besides the ones already revealed, the Nintendo Switch Online subscription Expansion Pack will be including other N64 titles and beyond, such as:

• Mario Golf
• F-ZERO X
• Pokemon Snap
• Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
• Paper Mario
• Banjo-Kazooie

Prices for the controllers have been set at $49.99. More information will be “coming soon”, presumably regarding any prices for upgrades from existing accounts, family plans and the like.
