Koei Temco is cooking up something special for the Atelier series to celebrate its 25th anniversary in May 2022. And this new concoction is going to make an appearance at the Koei Tecmo Tokyo Game Show Broadcast on October the 2nd, 2021, at 20:00 JST and 19:00 MYT.
There’s even a new website to mark the occasion in both Japanese and English.
The website hints that several new Aetilier projects are “coming soon” in the next year or so. We do not know yet what these are beside the 25th Anniversary project.
Of course with the Atelier Series, 25th Anniversary means some new merch, perhaps even including some cute girls in swimsuits. The Gust Shop will start selling 25th Anniversary themed goods, as part of the “Gust Shop Autumn Festival – TGS2021 & Atelier 25th Anniversary Pre-Festa” from September 30th. some of these new merch products will be announced at Koei Tecmo’s TGS broadcast.
In addition, several Atelier games are going on sale on different platforms including Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy and Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack as part of Koei Tecmo’s Tokyo Game Show Sale.
The Atelier series is a long-running JRPGs series that began back on the Playstation in 1997 with Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg. Gust has made numerous new entries however it is the recently released Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout that brought the series to greater popularity among JRPG fans outside Japan.
Ryza is so popular she’s even getting a new figure by Phat Company.
