Genshin Impact is undoubtedly one of the biggest mobile games this year, having inspired a clone such as Grand Honkai Sword Impact 3rd.
Despite having ‘Honkai Impact 3rd’ another one of miHoYo’s games in its name, Grand Honkai Sword Impact 3rd is a rip-off of Genshin Impact, with characters such as Kaeya and Amber being put into the game.
Grand Honkai Sword Impact 3rd definitely sets the bar for plagiarism. Have a look at the game’s Play Store page below:
The game describes itself as ‘The Strongest Heroin Anime RPG Game of 2021’. While strongest is a bizarre adjective to describe a game, calling itself ‘heroin’ (yes, the drug) is an even stranger move, perhaps an allegory of how addictive it aims to be.
Even though it steals the name of Honkai Impact 3rd and characters from Genshin Impact, it even plagiarises part of the description of Exos Heroes and My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero. It really begs the question how an app like this could end up on the Google Play Store in the first place.
Before the likes of Grand Honkai Sword Impact 3rd, The Legend of Neverland was accused of being a Genshin Impact clone. Needless to say, Grand Honkai Sword Impact 3rd makes The Legend of Neverland look like the most original game ever in comparison.
