Hello Kitty is Coming to Super Monkey Ball as DLC

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania will see a surprise playable character in the form of Hello Kitty. She will be coming to the game as paid DLC. You can buy her for $4.99. She will also be available when the game launches in October.

Hello Kitty is noticeable for being the first character added to the upcoming Super Monkey Ball game that isn’t a Sega (Or Atlus) character. Other playable guest characters include Sonic The Hedgehog, Tails, Beat from Jet Set Radio, Kazuma Kiryu from the Yakuza Series, and Morgana from Persona 5.

Each character has a unique item that they can collect instead of the usual bananas. In Hello Kitty’s case, she’s going to be collecting apples. This is because Hello Kitty’s favorite food is apple pie and she is often depicted with apples.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania is a collection that remakes the first three home console games in the series. It will also feature new content including a new story mode and updated gameplay mechanics.

It will be available for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and will release on October 5th. You’ll be able to pick up Hello Kitty on the same day.

This actually isn’t the only thing Hello Kitty has crossed over with recently. It was recently announced that she’s also doing a collab with Kamen Rider.
