The latest gameplay footage of Black Myth: Wukong feels more like a full-blown trailer than a simple gameplay test, as its title says. Over 12 minutes long and recorded entirely on Unreal Engine 5, you can catch the stunning video from developer Game Science below:
Having transitioned from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5, the game now supports a tonne of new improvements, such as 4K resolution, 60 FPS, DLSS and Ray Tracing. While these features are definitely things to look forward to, the content provided by the video itself is really intriguing.
From headless musicians to whatever this thing is, the game is shaping up to be a worthy contender to From Software’s Souls series. The highlight of the gameplay test is definitely the electric dragon boss fight which takes place at the 6 minute 30 second mark. During the fight, we see Wukong put his fabled staff to good use, being able to avoid all attacks that hit the ground by using it like a pole.
Despite how amazing the gameplay in Black Myth: Wukong appears to be, the game is still currently under development, with no release date in sight.
