Vespa‘s take on the tower defense genre, Time Defenders, has been slated for a 24 August launch. As far as we know, this launch date for Time Defenders only applies to Japan. Pre-registrations for the game remain open, having reached the 150,000 milestone. Rewards are available up to 200,000, offering “start dash” packages of materials, premium currency, and gacha tickets.
Following their closed beta test earlier in the year, various changes and improvements have been made to the title ahead of launch. As noted on 4gamer, this runs the whole gamut of interface clarity, graphical updates, adjustments to difficulty and new end-game content, a number of quality of life additions among other things.
There will be collaborations with Youtube content creators, presumably VTubers. Details regarding this will be announced at a later date.
You can check out their official website here, and their official Twitter here. As always, there’s a giveaway campaign where lucky winners can stand a chance to get Amazon gift cards, or a Nintendo Switch. The Twitter account has likewise begun previewing characters you’ll find in the game, so you can check that out to see if your favourite voice actor has gotten a role in it. We’ll see if the game ever makes it outside of Japan.
