The Witcher Animated Movie Trailer Revealed

Netflix has given us our next look at its upcoming Witcher Animated Movie. They’ve released a trailer for The Witcher: Nightmare of The Wolf. It will premier on August 23rd.

The movie is a spin-off of the Netflix live-action series starring Henry Cavill. It will follow Vesemir, an important character within the Witcher universe. He is an experienced witcher who acts as a mentor and father figure to the series hero Geralt.

Here is the current cast that has been announced:

• Theo James as Vesemir
• Lara Pulver as Tetra
• Graham McTavish as Deglan
• Mary McDonnell as Lady Zerbst

The Witcher animated movie is a collaboration between Netflix and South Korean animation house Studio Mir, who had previously worked on Avatar: The Legend of Korra, Voltron and Young Justice.

It will be directed by Kwang Il Han and written by Beau DeMayo. It is being produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich who was the showrunner of the previous live-action The Witcher series and writer for DareDevil and The Umbrella Academy.

The Witcher TV Series is currently available on Netflix. It is based on the fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski.

The critical clammed video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and PC. There’s also a Witcher AR Mobile game coming soon.
