The Beta version of Razer‘s eWallet service, Razer Pay, will effectively terminate its services on September 30, 2021. Beginning October 1, 2021, users can no longer access the service.
The gaming lifestyle brand thanked its users for their patronage. Those who still have credit in their Wallet can continue to use them until August 31, 2021. August 31 is also the date that users can claim their Razer gift card codes.
In addition, today, August 6, is the last day for new users to register, top-up or perform peer-to-peer transfers.
Launched in Malaysia and Singapore, the eWallet service lets users pay for games, mobile top-ups and even food items. It faced tough competition from similar services like Touch ‘n Go eWallet, GrabPay and Boost.
According to Razer:
Since the launch of Razer Pay (Beta), we have been able to test-bed multiple innovative products and features with the valuable feedback provided by our users and partners. As Razer Pay (Beta) comes to an end on Sep 30, 2021, all users are encouraged to withdraw their wallet balance through their Razer Pay app. We look forward to innovating more solutions in the future for our community.
