Chalk one up for odd collaborations, as PUBG Mobile has just announced a crossover event with the Sakura Wars franchise. This is of course, for Japan only, and the announcement was made via the game’s Twitter account.
The accompanying trailer does not exactly show much other than heroine Shinguji Sakura dropping a hint of what is to come, which coincidentally rules out members of the Sakura Wars reboot cum sequel. What we will really be getting however will be some form of voice cards. For the uninitiated, voice cards are downloadable content for PUBG Mobile that are included in its gacha system. Users who obtain said cards will be able to use them as voice clips in-game. For the most part, this is purely cosmetic in nature, and serves little purpose other than to let users know your age.
In any case, PUBG Mobile is available to download right now for the Android and iOS platforms, and the Sakura Wars collaboration marks the franchises only presence in the mobile space, after the short-lived spin off game will be shutting its doors really soon after a poor showing. If for whatever reason you like Sakura Wars and is somehow playing this game, be sure to give it a gander.
