Rotaeno announced for Android and iOS platforms

Publisher XD Network and developer Dream Engine Games have just announced Rotaeno, a new rhythm game for the Android and iOS platforms. The game is being dubbed as a rotary rhythm game, the first of its kind in the world, to make clever use of the mobile gyroscopes. Available in the English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese languages, the game will be the maiden project of a new developer comprised students from Hong Kong.

To further elaborate on the control scheme, in addition to having to tap the notes like in every other rhythm game, players will have to tilt their devices to catch the notes falling from the center of the screen. While it does sound like more work than usual and might be awkward in practice, especially in public, we are going to have to see how it is in real life.

Of course, the heart and soul of any good rhythm game lies with the music, and potential users can somewhat rest assure here as composer HyuN will be overseeing the tracks for Rotaeno.
