Konosuba Season 3 Announced

Popular Isekai anime Konosuba has announced production for season 3, via a tweet today. No release date has been given for the anime.

Details are scarce on the popular anime, which has had not only two seasons but also a popular movie as well. The announcement was made during a special livestream featuring the cast for the anime.

It’s not known which parts of the light novel Konosuba season 3 will adapt from- or where it will even take place, in regards to many anime series treating their movies as non-canon.

Konosuba : God’s Blessings On This Cultural Phenomenon

Konosuba (a portmanteau of its full name, which translates to “God’s Blessings on this Wonderful World”) follows Kazuma, a young loser who is killed and offered a chance to be reborn in a fantasy world by a goddess named Aqua. Being told that he can be reborn with one gift, he asks to take the goddess herself with him, effectively trapping her in the fantasy world until they can complete their quest to kill the Demon King.

Along the way they meet two more adventurers, the Arch-Mage Megumin, who refuses to learn any spell aside from her high-level Explosion, as well as their perverted crusader Darkness.

To say Konosuba is a popular would be an understatement- the series has spawned visual novels, a mobile game as well as attractions like an anime-themed hotel in Japan which features life-sized cutouts of the character.
