CD Projekt RED has just put up a new trailer for The Witcher: Monster Slayer, its AR game for the mobile, which is tentatively scheduled for a release worldwide on 21 July 2021.
The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a location-based augmented-reality RPG that challenges you to become a professional monster hunter. Venture out into the world around you and use your mobile device to track witcher-world monsters that roam close-by. Track these monsters and prepare for combat using time of day, weather conditions, and your witcher knowledge to gain an advantage on your quest to becoming an elite monster slayer.
As previously reported, this follows soon after an early access period, and the game is also currently open for pre-registration on the Google Play Store. Worth iterating is that the game will also release on iOS on the same date. The game is free to download.
With the COVID-19 pandemic still affecting many countries, we’ll have to see what provisions the game will be making for those who are unable to leave their houses due to safety concerns. Pokemon Go has made many adjustments in the past year, so we should be expecting this to be following suit, or we could be looking at another disastrous launch…
