Marvel Realm of Champions 4.0 update now live

Marvel Realm of Champions has received its 4.0 update, with plenty of stuff for players to explore! Full release notes can be found on the official website.

Dive into a new story event, Trial of the Worthy, where an unworthy Thor embarks on a quest to earn his own Mjolnir. With him is a Winter Soldier and a wandering Hulk, with a story told across episodes over 4 weeks through Showdown. Face down different groups of Champions to reignite the frozen Eternal Flame of Asgard. The schedule can be found on the official news post.

Transmog is a new feature where you can change the Appearance of your gear items into new ones without losing your existing stats or synergies. Preview them before you use the Essence currency to change to your preferred look. Essence can be earned through various in-game means. Unlock the appearances of a gear item as you receive them or through Blueprints to fill in anything missing. You can scrap your stuff once you’ve gotten progress through any gear item. Progress towards any look will be given retroactively, with ETA to be decided so don’t scrap everything yet.

New Alliance Events – Time Attack, Whosoever Holds this Hammer and Costume Mania! – will be coming, with the first kicking off 2 July. The Black Panthers’ Summoners Journey chapter is also unlocked.

Last but not least, Marvel Realm update 4.0 includes the new Hulk Wing Shields weapon, updates to weapon generation, various gameplay improvements, synergy sets, balancing and bug fixes.
