Legend of Mana Remastered: Story, System overview

It’s time to check out the overview of the story and in-game system that you’ll be able to find in the upcoming Legend of Mana Remastered edition, coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC via Steam on 24 June 2021.

WEAPONS, ARMOUR, INSTRUMENTS

• Weapons: Your primary equipment to attack enemies. Attack power determines the damage you deal with your regular attacks and Special Techniques. Special Techniques differ from weapon to weapon
• Armour: You can equip up to three pieces of armour, each with their defensive attributes and elemental resistances to reduce damage taken
• Instruments: Enchanted instruments imbued with the power of an Elemental Spirit can be used to cast spells, or play music to persuade Elemental Spirits to part with their precious coins

You’ll be able to forge your own equipment or instruments in the workshops behind your Home. Weapon strength is determined on your weapon type and its primary material, that you can temper with secondary materials. Instruments vary accordingly to its type, primary material and the elemental coin you use.

PETS

Capture monster eggs in your journey that will eventually hatch in the corral. You’ll be able to feed them and take them with you on your journey, with some having helpful Synchro Effects to boost you in battle. With the Ring Ring Land mini game, you can help them grow stronger faster.

GOLEMS

You can customize your own battle robot buddy! It’ll take a lot of materials – be it armour, to weapons, and instruments – but with over 50 different combinations you can fit into its Logic Blocks, it can make a far more versatile companion.

THE ORCHARD

Meet Trent, an ancient tree in your backyard. Pay him a visit and give him seeds to grow your own produce to feed your pets, paint your golems or as weapon tempering material.

STORY – ESCAD’S ARC

Four childhood friends – Escad, Daena, Matilda, Irwin – find themselves in a mire in their relations with each other. In the wake of the Faerie War over a decade prior, the ghosts of the past remain.

STORY – DRAGON KILLER ARC

Larc, dragoon of Drakonis, embarks on a mission to kill the Dragons of Knowledge on his master’s orders. You’ll be following along with him in this story of bonds, both broken and reforged.
