It’s the Summer special of The Brave Room, with Wan and Kit baking in the heat to bring you this week’s spicy content.
This week, our intrepid duo reflect on their jobs in the Game industry, specifically that as the oft-maligned Game Journalist. Wan fires back at some of the big criticisms- namely that we suck at video games, as well as the difficulties of any job- even one that has you playing video games. all the time.
I mean, that’s not to say we’re out here on a mercy mission or anything. But the idea of Games Journalist being synonymous with Bad at Games is getting to a ridiculous level, and it had to be brought up.
Kit also talks about the bane of game difficulty- how sometimes you really just don’t have the time to experience a game “as the dev intended” on super ultra hard nenechi difficulty, and sometimes we really do just have to get through the game at a brisk pace to give it its fair shake.
Speaking of, the two also lift the veil on our review writing process, and why some games, despite how much we loved them, were an absolute pain to review.
