Cygames has opened a teaser website to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Rage of Bahamut, which will be celebrated on 1 September. The associated Rage of Bahamut teaser website has a countdown to the 10th anniversary date, which you can check out here. This is, of course, for the Japanese release, Cygames’ first ever release. The game previously had a global version launched in 2012 published by DeNA, but it shut down in 2016 and has not been re-released since.
The occasion will be commemorated with events and campaigns, alongside a chronology of the decade among other things as the date approaches with details to be rolled out accordingly.
The series itself has seen anime adaptations, with Rage of Bahamut: Genesis and Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul, as well as Manaria – which is localized as Mysteria in English – Friends. The characters have made their way across all Cygames-associated works, be it Granblue Fantasy, Dragalia Lost and Shadowverse just to name a few.
10 years is a long time for a game, be it for a console franchise or “just” a mobile / browser based title, so we’re likely to see a lot of fanfare as the company celebrates the longevity of its very first game.
