Honkai Impact 3rd will run Genshin Impact collab

Honkai Impact 3rd will be running a Genshin Impact collab with version 4.9. Keqing and Fischl will be the characters representing Genshin Impact in the Honkai universe, while there will be an outfit based on Klee as part of the collab. Along with the Electro duo, new weapons will also be added to the game, with one available in the Foundry while the other will be gacha. Fischl will be available as a log in bonus, and will be permanent to the game. Paimon also makes an appearance as a fairy.

Players will be battling various enemies from Genshin as part of the event, including Slime, Ruin Guards and Andrius.

After all the theorizing fans have done connecting Honkai to Genshin, and who people have assumed to be Yae Sakura making an appearance in a Genshin stream, it’s hardly any surprise miHoYo is doing crossovers with its own properties. In any case, fans for the global release can look forward to this eventually, surely.

This isn’t the first time Honkai Impact has run a collab with another IP- the game had added a new valkyrie based on Asuka from the Evangelion series previously. Considering that many of the combat styles from Genshin Impact have analogues in Honkai, crossovers wouldn’t be too hard to do. There’s also the case of the game’s multiple shared voice actors, across the various dubs. For example, Lisa’s JP dub shares a voice actor with the Valkyrie Himeko Murata.
