Studio Z will be developing a mobile game based on the remake of the Shaman King anime, titled Shaman King Funbari Chronicle. Shaman King Funbari Chronicle is expected to be launched by the end of 2021. The new anime series has already begun airing in Japan since April, while international viewers will be able to stream it on Netflix at some point in the future. The official website for the anime remake can be found here.
The game boasts “high quality 3D graphic battles” that will faithfully adapt the world of Shaman King. A new mode dubbed “Mangatic Mode” will allow players to relive through the story, immersing both new and old fans in this work. Pre-registrations are scheduled to begin in July 2021.
As you might expect, you’ll be able to build your own team using the characters of Shaman King, with battles rendered in 3D. From battle backgrounds to their ultimate moves, fans can look forward to unleashing the power of the shamans.
“Mangatic Mode” basically sounds like a live graphic novel, where characters movements and facial expressions will subtly change as the story progresses. The game will also see illustrations original to it.
Well, presumably there will be hot springs, right? Aha. Whatever it is, fans can look forward to trying out the game within the year.
