A new report has shown that the Elden Ring release could be coming as early as March 2022, though no official announcements have been made regarding the enigmatic and highly anticipated title.
From Software’s parent company Kadokawa recently published their financial results for the last fiscal year, in which they discussed some of their plans for their gaming sector. The slides say that Kadokawa is planning to release new games before March of 2022, though they make no explicit mention of Elden Ring in this regard.
That being said, it’s not like Kadokawa have forgotten the title, either. Elden Ring gets its own slide in the presentation, discussing how its one of the most hotly anticipated titles in the company’s portfolio. Putting two and two together, it’s not too crazy to believe that Elden Ring could be among the titles they plan to release early next year.
Bandai Namco, who publishes FromSoftware’s games, is also set to make an appearance at this year’s E3. Considering the publishers’s very wide portfolio, this far from cements that the title finally has a release date. That being said, if it were to come out next year, E3 would be the perfect time to tell people that.
Elden Ring continues to be one of the most hotly anticipated games, having gone radio silent since its original announcement. Leaks have begun to spring of the upcoming game, along with uncorroborated stories that the game was having troubles in development. Considering the title’s release predates the next-gen consoles, it’s safe to assume that there’s some credibility to these.
