[ Guide ] Diona Hangout Event: The Cat and the Cocktail All Endings

Welcome to a simple guide to help you get all endings and branches in a new series of character stories in Hangout Events for Genshin Impact, this one featuring the future wine industry destroyer, Diona! There are also achievements you can get related to the Hangout, so let’s begin. If you need guides for the other Hangout events, check out the list here.

UNLOCKING HANGOUT EVENTS

You’ll need two Story Keys to unlock the Hangout Event. The keys are only needed for the initial unlock, you do not need more for the rest of the events.

THE CAT TAIL’S BARTENDER

These options will lead to:

• “I’m here for the kitties…”
  • For Cat Party, The Unfathomable Felines endings
• “I want to try some new specialty drinks…”
  • For Diona’s Special, “I… Only Had… A Little…”, The Ultimate Special endings

These options will lead to:

• “I’d like the base to be more unique…”
  • For Diona’s Special, “I… Only Had… A Little…” endings
• “I’d like the flavoring to be more unique…”
  • For The Ultimate Special ending

TO CATCH A KITTEN

You’ll be tasked to find the three kittens: Roger, Nelson and Paisley.

Roger will respond to the Cat Toy. Choosing the food option only lowers your hearts. You’ll be offered the first choice for the branching endings for this route.

These options will lead to:

• “Well, he is really cute after all.”
  • For The Unfathomable Felines ending
• “I think customers visit the tavern primarily for your cocktails.”
  • For Cat Party ending

Nelson will respond to the Cat Food. Again, opting for the opposite choice will lower your hearts.

These options will lead to:

• “Maybe you should take a hint from him and do what he does?”
  • For The Unfathomable Felines ending
• “Your specialty drinks attract lots of attention already.”
  • For Cat Party ending

Simply walk up to the quest marker here to find Paisley. Whether or not you try to coax the cat over, Paisley will only respond to Diona.

These options will lead to:

• “That actually might make more money…”
  • For The Unfathomable Felines ending

• “No-one would know about these cats if it weren’t for your specialty drinks.”
  • For Cat Party ending

The Cat Party ending will get you the Kitten Queen achievement.

A SPECIAL BASE DRINK

You’ll be lead to Dadaupa Gorge. The enemies consist of a variety of Hilichurl, a Mitachurl and a Samachurl.

These options will lead to:

• “I’ll avoid the monsters as well.”
  • You’ll need to sneak around
• “I’ll defeat all the monsters head-on.”
  • Fight or run

Both options will lead to the same checkpoint, as the branch only happens later. “I’ll defeat all the monsters head-on.” is RECOMMENDED as you do not actually need to defeat all the Hilichurl, you can simply run past all of them and the quest will progress as normal. Being spotted three times will cause you to fail the Hangout sequence, so might as well hurry up and guide Diona in her destruction of the wine industry (?).

DEAD-DRUNK DRAFF

These options will lead to:

• “Draff said he had just found some, let’s ask him.”
  • For Diona’s Special ending

This ending will get you the “But There’s a Catch…” achievement.

• “I can deal with a few monsters. I’ll bring some of that herbal soup back.”
  • You’ll be tasked to check out the cooking pots.

Finishing this branch will get you the “I… Only Had… A Little…” ending.

SPECIAL COCKTAILING CONDIMENTS

You’ll need to gather some ingredients for Diona. There’ll be quest specific ingredients – 2 x Fresh Fish, 2 x Fresh Slime Condensate from fighting two Anemo Slime – so you don’t need to use your own.

When you’re given the option, just do the opposite of what Connor did. That’d be:

1. Put the whole Lizard Tail directly into the Dandelion Wine.
2. Add all of the Slime Condensate into the drink.
3. Add all the Butterfly Dust and Fish Scales to the drink.

You’ll hand the finished product over to Diona. You’ll need to do this sequence again to make a truly terrible drink. You don’t need to follow Diona’s exact steps all the way as the result will be terrible either way. When the dialogue is complete, you’ll get The Ultimate Special ending

With all the endings obtained, you’ll get the Diona Special, Stirred, Not Shaken achievement.

Even with this Hangout guide, Diona will still be unable to shake off that blessing (?). Maybe some day…
