Thailand’s ZIGMA Counter-Strike team have been crowned the Champions of the ROG Masters APAC 2021, the company’s first online Asia Pacific esports tournament. The team walks away with USD 10,000 and are the first ever winners of the Counter Strike tournament.
ZIGMA won the championship after defeating another tournament favorite, Singapore’s Huat Zai in the semifinals and then the Philippines’ Expendables in a grueling final match that lasted over two hours.
The Road to Becoming Champions
In the first round, ZIGMA won 16 to 10 in the map: Overpass, but in the second round, Expendables fought back hard after being down 14:9 at one point to win 14:16 in Mirage. ZIGMA then secured its victory with a 16:9 score in the final round in Inferno.
