Square Enix revealed a bunch of new content and DLC for NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… in an ‘Extra Content Trailer’ for the game. You can watch the video in question here:
Fans of the original NieR Gestalt and NieR RepliCant ought to recognise the 15 Nightmares DLC teased in the video. Also known as World of the Recycled Vessel, players will be able to play as the ‘Father Nier’, the protagonist of NieR Gestalt. To those who are unfamiliar, Father Nier is the alternate version of the protagonist who is Yonah’s father instead of her brother, who is the player character in the Replicant remaster.
Also, players can expect to see the Kabuki and Samurai costumes once more in the remaster. Both of these costumes were also available in NieR Gestalt and NieR RepliCant.
Besides the returning DLC, NieR:Automata fans will be happy to see costumes and weapons from the game appear in the remaster as free launch DLC. The 4 YoRHa adds 2B, A2, 9S and other costumes from Automata. It will also add music from the sequel.
Interestingly enough, the voice cast from NieR:Automata will also make an appearance, according to the extra content trailer. However, their exact roles still remain unclear.
Lastly, the Replicant remaster is also getting the Mermaid extra episode. It is an entirely new piece of content that features an enormous boss and the setting of a shipwreck.
