Trickster M will be launching in South Korea on 26 March, after a wildly successful pre-registration period. The game is supposed to be more focused on adventuring and open world, apparently taking cues from Lineage M. The original PC release did have PVP specific areas, but it has been expanded in Trickster M to include group battles, and later, have the chance to fight over good drilling spots for treasure.
The game features eight playable characters styled after animals, each coming to Caballa Island for their own reasons (primarily money). The eccentric billionaire Don Cavalier launches a game on Caballa Island as revealed by his will, with the winner able to secure his fortune in the original PC version. It eventually evolves into something deeper, as these things go, but the story was not fully concluded when the game was shut down. The initial announcement suggests that the mobile game will pick up where it left off.
There are some changes besides the art style, with upgraded weapons getting additional effects, among other things. There’s no indication of a global release for Trickster M at this juncture, but hopefully it will be available worldwide just like its PC release. In its home country, the game can be played on either mobile devices or NCSoft’s cross platform launcher, Purple.
