Black Surge Night from Bilibili has hit 30,000 pre-registrations, with rewards up to 200,000 pre-registrations. Black Surge Night takes place in a universe where a disaster has covered much of the land in water. In the struggle to adapt to the change, “dolls” with intelligence and equipped with armaments were created to obtain resources. Conflicts are fought with the use of these Dolls, naturally. Somehow, a mutation occurs in these Dolls, and they are then dismantled, but those who have escaped such a fate now seek revenge. You will need to take command and fight back against the Dolls.
Gameplay wise, it looks very reminiscent to Azur Lane, featuring real time action gameplay, with skills for you to tap to unleash on your enemies. At a glance, it doesn’t look like there’ll be as much focus on movement, but we can probably wait on a gameplay trailer to be really sure. The game is set for release sometime in 2021.
Pre-registration rewards include in-game currency, equipment boxes, recruitment contracts (which isn’t clarified to be gacha tickets) and an SSR Unicorn unit. You might argue the outfit designs might be more tasteful than Azur Lane‘s, but that’s up to personal taste.
In any case, if you’re curious about another take on ship girls, you can check out the game’s website here, and their official Twitter here.
