The playtest for the mobile version of battle royale FPS Apex Legends is ongoing, but only for a select number of players on EA’s website.
This information came from Reddit user EXO_R3EECH, who brought up the playtests in a post that came with the following image:
Understandably, only players who registered for the playtest in advance on EA’s website can give Apex Legends mobile a shot. Furthermore, EXO_R3EECH also added the playtest is only for Android users. EXO_R3EECH further elaborated in the comments, stating that the device requirements are Google Pixel 3 or above and Samsung Galaxy S8 or above.
While it unknown if there are playtests for iPhones, mobile gamers can rest assured that Apex Legends will be available on both iOS and Android. While an exact release date is still uncertain, Apex Legends mobile will have a Q3 launch window. The game will have a soft launch in China earlier, roughly in the next 2 or 3 months.
Besides that, Switch owners will have something to look forward to next. This is because Apex Legends will release on the platform on 9th March 2021.
