Level-5 and Netmarble’s mobile adaptation of the Ni no Kuni franchise, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds will launch in the second quarter of the year.
According to Netmarble’s financial report, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds will launch in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. It will be downloadable sometime between April and June later this year. Currently, there is no specific release date for the game in the West. There is also no confirmation for an English version of the game. However, Ni no Kuni fans can remain hopeful for a global release, considering that the game was also marketed in English.
Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds also appeared in Tokyo Game Show 2020. Despite being a mobile game, Cross Worlds features commendable graphics comparable to the console games. It recreates the charming aesthetic of Studio Ghibli in stunning 3D visuals. In addition, it even features music from legendary composer Joe Hisaishi.
Following the isekai trope present in the series, players assume the role of a character who finds himself transported to another world. However, Cross Worlds features a virtual reality game-setting as the player is a beta tester for the game “Soul Divers”.
Players can check out Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds‘ official website for related news. Note that the website is in Japanese/Korean.
