Blazblue Alternative Dark War, the RPG based on the popular Blazblue series will be available today in Japan for iOS and Android devices.
Contrary to popular belief, Blazblue Alternative Darkwar is not a fighting game, but rather a normal RPG in the same style as games like Fate/Grand Order. It features a new protagonist, Ciel, as well as several familiar faces from the Blazblue series.
While some of these were shown via the first trailer for the game, the opening animation has given us more of a glimpse at these returning characters, such as Jin Kisaragi, Noel Vermillion and Es.
While those characters largely retained their looks from the Blazblue series, some characters are a little more mysterious, such as a still-unnamed character who clearly evokes the imagery of series antagonist Relius Clover.
Series posterboy Ragna The Bloodedge also appears as a silhouette in the trailer, though it’s not known if he’s currently summonable as one of the characters in the game.
The game had been announced some time prior, but became the subject of many delays leading fans to wonder if the game was ever coming out. After a recent big advertising push by the game’s developers though, the title will finally be available to download and play today.
