Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny showcases party members in new trailer

Nippon Ichi’s YouTube channel uploaded a new video earlier today, showcasing some of the playable characters in Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny. You can watch the video here:

The video starts off by showing the God of Destruction. Not much is known about the God of Destruction in the video, but he is most likely the antagonist of the game.

The video then proceeds to introduce us to our party members one by one. In order of appearance, they are:

Zed: The main protagonist. He is a zombie that comes back stronger each time he is killed. This is due to his Super Reincarnation ability.

Bieko: Zed’s younger sister whom he has a soft spot for.

Cerberus: A zombie dog that speaks with great eloquence. Cerberus is also extremely intelligent, despite his appearance.

Melodia: A buxom princess who dreams of getting her happily ever after. Also loves singing.

Misedor: The King of the Human World who possesses practically limitless wealth.

Piyori Nijino: The leader of her own squad of Prism Rangers who travelled across worlds in hopes of increasing their TV rating.

Majolene: Headmaster of the magic academy. A powerful sorceress, she also leads a double life as a Magical Girl.

Overlord Ivar: A boastful Overlord. His background remains unclear.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is the newest entry in the mainline franchise. It will be available on Switch and PS4. The game will come out next week, 28th January 2021 in Japan. Its worldwide release will be in summer later this year.
