Thanks to the power of foresight, there are quite a few 3-stars that we know are good, arguably meta-defining in their own right, in Princess Connect Re: Dive! Along with the existence of the double 3-star rates available during Princess Fests – which itself comes with exclusive units – here are some 3-stars you should aim for, especially when you’re F2P with limited resources. Not listed in order of release.
BEST VALUE PROPOSITION
You can’t go wrong with any of the Princess Fes characters. Not only are they all incredibly powerful in their own right, “PriFes” also doubles the 3-star rates (from 2.5% to 5%) so even if you don’t score a PriFes unit, your odds of obtaining a 3-star is higher.
Character | Role |
Christina | DPS, Physical. Premier Physical DPS, bringing her own Physical Defense Debuff on enemies and always Critical single-target UB. |
Hiyori (Princess) | DPS, Physical. Souped up version of her Initial, reducing Physical Defense based on damage done on her Physical Attack UB. |
Kokkoro (Princess) | Support. All-round Buffer. Increases TP recovery for all allies, heal is more regen-based compared to her Initial. |
Labyrista |
Support. Buffer for Physical Attack, Critical Rate, and Physical Defense Debuff on enemies. Stronger on UB, and deals massive AOE (Phys) on UB end.
|
Muimi | DPS, Physical. Becomes AOE Physical DPS on UB cast until it ends. |
Neneka | DPS, Magical. Doubles her output on UB, where she summons a copy of herself as well as a field that increases Magic Damage. |
Pecorine (Princess) | Tank. Essentially the same as her Initial, but with higher DPS on UB. |
Yui (Princess) | DPS, Magical. Magic AOE DPS, can essentially permanently upkeep her Magic Damage buff. |
NOTABLE LIMITED CHARACTERS
You’ll have to pray to the gods as these characters are often on the base 2.5% rates. While Princess Connect Re: Dive does eventually implement the spark system (which will require 45,000 Jewels), the limited characters who come before then will want your wallet and then some. You can also opt to wait for reruns, but in any case, here are some you should definitely keep an eye out for.
Karyl (New Year’s)
Her role is Magic DPS, and boy does she do it. Her implementation meant that future Clan Battle bosses had a damage taken cap due to how ridiculously she could ramp up damage on her UB. She does falter if she doesn’t get to spam her UB, but having to change a system on her lonesome should be enough for you to gun for her.
Character | Role |
Hiyori (New Year’s) |
DPS, Physical. A little weaker to start, but gets better with Unique Equipment increasing self buffs and Critical Rate. Has Physical Defense debuff on UB.
|
Kokkoro (New Year’s) |
Tank. Has delayed Provoke that gives her a Barrier that absorbs damage. Self-sustains and can also heal allies. Provide Physical Attack buffs.
|
Kyouka (Halloween) | Support / SITUATIONAL. Consider pulling only if she’s your favourite or you run a Magic heavy line-up. |
Makoto (Summer) | DPS, Physical. Essentially similar to her Initial version. |
Saren (Summer) | Support. Recovers TP once for all allies, then provides Physical/Magical Attack and Attack Speed buffs on UB. |
Shizuru (Valentine) |
Support. Can recover TP/HP. UB is field buff that provides Physical Attack, Critical Rate and TP Gain to all allies. Also reduces Physical Defense.
|
Suzuna (Summer) | DPS, Physical. Also needs time to ramp up, better with Unique Equipment. Has self buffs, though only recovers TP once. |
Tamaki (Summer) | DPS, Physical. Drains TP from enemies, and debuffs their Physical Attack to buff herself. |
Tsumugi (Halloween) | Tank. Has Provoke, massively debuffs Physical DPS, can nullify Physical Damage with Barrier. Weak to Magic line-ups. |
Yui (New Year’s) | Healer. UB provides HP regen and a Barrier that nullifies damage. Provides Magic Attack buff. |
You can, of course, choose to go waifu over meta, and that is a totally valid way to play. This is basically a waifu collector after all. Good luck in your gacha adventures, may the lucksack be with you!
