As part of the franchise’s 25th Anniversary celebrations, Capcom opened registrations for a closed beta test of an unnamed Resident Evil game. The registration is open until 25th January 2021.
This news came from the Resident Evil Village website. The closed beta test is only available on PS4, PS4 Pro, and XBox One. PS5 and XBox Series X owners can also register, but they will be playing the PS4 and Xbox One versions respectively.
In order to register for the unannounced Resident Evil game’s closed beta test, you must adhere to the following:
- You have a CAPCOM ID.
- Your CAPCOM ID is linked to the Resident Evil Ambassador program.
- You are 18 years old or over.
- You own supported hardware (PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5, Xbox One, XBox Series X)
Currently, the closed beta test registration is open until 25th January 2021. There will be two announcements to reveal the selected beta testers, one on 22nd January 8AM (GMT), and another on 27th January 8AM (GMT). If you are not selected for the first round, you can re-apply for the second round of beta test.
The selection will be made via lottery if there are many sign-ups. Your chance of being selected depends on your Resident Evil Ambassador rank.
The time slots for the closed beta test are:
- 28th January 2021 6AM – 1PM (GMT) (Maintenance between 9-10AM)
- 29th January 2021 1AM – 8AM (GMT) (Maintenance between 9-10AM)
- 29th January 2021 3PM – 10PM (GMT)
- 30th January 2021 6AM – 31st January, 6AM (GMT) (Maintenance between 9-10AM)
