The mobile port of Wizards of the Coast’s Magic: The Gathering Arena will release in early access for mobile devices on 28th January 2021.
Currently, only an early access Android version has a specified release date. As for iOS devices, no fixed release date has been announced. Wizards of the Coast has stated that iOS support will come later this year.
The recommended specs for Android are detailed as below:
Android Version: 6.0 (Marshmallow)
RAM: 4GB
Graphics API: OpenGL ES 3.0
Texture Compression: ETC2
Required Chipsets
- Kirin 970 -or-
- Snapdragon 845 -or-
- Exynos 9810
Initially, the mobile version targeted to release in 2020, but like most video game-related endeavours, the pandemic forced Wizards of the Coast to postpone the launch. Thankfully, players do not need to wait for much longer as they can try their hand at the mobile game this month.
28th January is also the date when Magic: The Gathering Arena‘s Kaldheim patch comes live. This patch, which is for PC and Mac versions of the game, will also apply to the mobile game once it releases.
