You’ve gotten what you’ve rerolled for, and got a set of characters to start building teams around. How then, do you best put those resources to use to seriously start playing Princess Connect Re: Dive? Here are some handy tips for you to get through Astrum!
For other guides you can check out:
LOG IN EVERY DAY
Well, this is pretty much a no brainer. You get a bunch of passive resources like mana, skip tickets and some premium currency for doing absolutely nothing. Hurray!
COMPLETE DAILY MISSIONS
Another no brainer. You get a decent amount of player EXP that in turn will let you raise your characters to higher levels plus some bonus resources here and there. Logging in on time also gets you 200 free stamina daily for more grinding.
REFRESH STAMINA AT A DISCOUNT
For free to play players, you should consider refreshing your stamina at least three times a day with jewels to further accelerate your grind. If you’re feeling especially spicy, refill it up to a maximum of six times a day for cost effectiveness.
REFRESHING HARD STAGES IS NOT WORTH IT
You want those shards bad, but it’s not very worth it especially if you’re not spending. Even then, the drop rates are as such you should consider refreshing ONLY IF the double drop rates are active.
FOCUS ON A PRIMARY TEAM OF UNITS FIRST
When you start out, resources will be quite scarce, from mana to equipment pieces. You’d want to level up units, then gear them up to rank 7 which unlocks their EX skill.
NO NEED TO RUSH EQUIPMENT UPGRADES
As you get stronger equipment, you’ll be able to level those up as well. However, besides doing the upgrade for the daily mission, you don’t need to fully level up the pieces unless you’re going to be stuck at that rank for a while, mostly to save on resources.
REMEMBER TO UPGRADE YOUR GUILDHOUSE ITEMS
At increasing player ranks, you will be able to use rupies to upgrade your guildhouse items that provide resources over time. You can get mana, EXP, skip tickets and most importantly, stamina.
CLEAR DUNGEONS WHERE YOU CAN
Not only will you get Dungeon Tokens to buy Memory Shards for characters, killing the Dungeon boss for the first time will give you an item that will give stamina! These items can’t be upgraded, but stamina is stamina, and the more bosses you defeat, the more you can grind. Profit!
Even if you run out of time to defeat a dungeon boss, as long as you keep your units alive, you can fight it again and the boss’ health will not reset. An exception is in Dungeon EX III which automatically kills all your units when timing out.
INCREASE BONDS WITH YOUR CHARACTERS
This one’s easy to do with your most regular line-up, but besides getting to know your characters in their stories, certain story unlocks also provide additional stats for them. Plus, you get some Jewels too.
CLEAR AS MUCH MAIN QUESTS AS POSSIBLE
You should already be doing this, as you will unlock stages from which to get equipment from, unlocking new features in the game, and unlocking the main story. Reading the main story is quite important as some character stories will be locked behind your story progression. You get some Jewels on the side too.
WHERE AVAILABLE, GRIND EVENT STAGES
Besides getting plenty of resources to toss into the draw boxes, event stages also have an EXP bonus to help you refill stamina faster and raise your characters to higher levels.
THERE’S NO REASON NOT TO BUY OUT THE SPECIAL SHOP
When you clear stages, a shop may randomly appear where you can purchase items, up to five times a day. There really isn’t any reason why you shouldn’t buy it out unless you’re low on mana.
These are pretty general tips for Princess Connect but still good to keep in mind as you progress through the game. It never hurts to keep in mind the basics as the game heads towards its global launch. Good luck!
