They said that fans eager to listen to some good JRPG music can search up “ATLUS Sound Team“, which should get you the full catalogue of the Persona Soundtrack available on both Spotify and Apple Music.
The content curator says the music of Personas 2 through 5 will all be coming to Spotify and Apple Music as of January 5th.
This includes the game’s re-releases, including music from Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 Golden. The release also encompasses some of the Persona spin-offs, such as Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Persona 4 Dancing All Night.
Interestingly enough, this also includes music from the 3DS exclusive spin-off RPGs Persona Q and Persona Q2, as well as fellow ATLUS title Catherine.
You can tell that when the deal to stream the soundtracks was announced, there was some sort of cutoff point as the more recent entries like Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Scramble are all absent from the collections.
That being said, the live performances of the game’s music from Music Fes 2013 and and Super Live 2015 are also being included in the catalogue.
This seems to be signaling a shift in attitude at ATLUS, who previously had a reputation for outdated business practices. For the longest time fans had no official way to listen to music from the Persona series, despite it being one of the most memorable parts of the game.
