With three more days before the year ends, Shadowverse CCG launched its Granblue Fantasy collaboration event today, called Shadowverse Eternal Awakening. This event will be from 28th December 2020 to 31st January 2021.
The free to play collectable online card game released its nineteenth expansion today. Shadowverse Eternal Awakening features 97 new cards that will find their way into players’ decks, with many more said to be on the way. Apparently, Christmas is not over yet, as players will receive 10 Eternal Awakening packs upon release.
According to the Shadowverse official website:
This set features characters from Cygames’ popular RPG title, Granblue Fantasy, and introduces two new mechanics: “Skybound Art” and “Super Skybound Art.” Card effects written as “Skybound Art (10)” will activate when you play the card on your 10th turn or later, while an effect written as “Super Skybound Art (15)” will activate on your 15th turn or later. Furthermore, every time an allied follower evolves, the Skybound Art and Super Skybound Art values of all cards in your hand are reduced by 1, and their effects can be activated 1 turn earlier.
Based on the description above, these new keywords seem similar to the Union Burst mechanic.
Besides the 97 new cards available from the expansion’s release, two new leader cards are obtainable. Purchasing the new Leader Pack will entitle players to slick-looking sleeves.
To reward active players, there will be special login rewards for 10 days. Rewards include Eternal Awakening card pack tickets, a Lyria emblem and sleeves.
In addition, new quests are available for solo play. By achieving victory against computer opponents, players can get alternate art-cards, emblems, flairs and sleeves.
As usual, players can also win event-exclusive rewards by winning their matches.
As both Shadowverse and Granblue Fantasy are IPs developed by Cygames, both titles see frequent collaborations with each other. The previous collaboration event took place in Granblue Fantasy.
