RWBY: Amity Arena to end service

Just about over 2 years since the game launched, RWBY: Amity Arena has announced it will end service. The full notice, as provided on their Facebook page, reads as follows:

Dear Huntsmen and Huntresses,

Every journey must come to an end, and unfortunately, we must announce that RWBY: Amity Arena service will end on Thursday, January 28th, 2021. We hope that you have enjoyed the time you spent in the virtual Vytal Festival Tournament while you carried this little piece of Remnant around with you.

Thank you for playing and supporting our game. Please accept our sincerest apologies that we cannot maintain the game indefinitely. This isn’t a decision that we came to lightly, and we appreciate your understanding.

1. Shutdown Date

When: 1/28/2021 21:00 (PST)

2. End of Payments and Game Download

When: 1/3/2021 16:00 (PST)

※ After 1/3/2021 16:00 (PST), the game will be unlisted from both app stores and micro-transactions will be disabled.

※ However, players that already have the game installed will be able to continue to log in and play until the server’s shutdown date.

※ The game will be no longer available to play after the server shutdown date.

※ All user data will be deleted from the shutdown date. However, data that must be retained by law will be archived for a period of time.

※ Please contact RWBY: Amity Arena customer service if you have further questions.
