The mobile Kimetsu no Yaiba game, Keppu Kengeki Royale, has been delayed. The game was originally scheduled for release within 2020. The reason for the delay was for quality assurance, with no new projected release window given. Pre-registration rewards were already revealed much earlier, which are as follows:
- 100,000: Currency for 3 times gacha
- 200,000: Currency for 5 times gacha
- 300,000: Character “present”
- Presumably a Pick One out of: Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke
- 400,000: Currency for 10 times gacha
- 500,000: SSR rarity Ability Card
- Equip the Ability Card on a character to boost their stats
The game is an asymmetrical multiplayer game where players will be divided into the Demon Slayer Corps, and the demon, looking to take each other out. You can check out the initial trailer below:
It’s been a bit of an eventful year for the series: the manga finishing serialization, airing the Mugen Train movie, the game announcements – one of which is a console title for PS4 in 2021 – and most recently, its collaboration concluding in Granblue Fantasy, among other things. The Keppu Kengeki Royale official Twitter had gone into radio silence since May, so hopefully there’ll be more news soon besides it getting delayed. You’ll at least have the console game to hopefully anticipate at some point.
