Touhou Dungeon Dive now available for smartphones

Seven Volt and Star Factory has just officiated the launch of Touhou Dungeon Dive for the Android and iOS platforms, after teasing it not too long ago.

As previously reported, the game is a roguelike action game that will have players assuming the various titular Touhous to challenge dungeons. While the series has a lot of lore attached to it, the game will have an original scenario where a mysterious void has suddenly opened within the world of Gensokyo. Little is known about this anomaly other than the fact that it contains infinite dungeons within. Everybody’s favourite impoverished shrine maiden Reimu has tasked it upon herself to investigate the hole and to suppress whatever hostile lifeforms that reside in it, while making a little scratch on the side, of course.

Touhou Dungeon Dive allows for the use of two characters in a single party, so you will be able to swap and switch on the fly. This would be necessary since you will need to address the various challenges with each character’s unique attacks and abilities. Knowing how to juggle accordingly will be imperative as you dive deeper into the dungeons. Only once you have defeated all the enemies that you will be able to proceed to the level.
