Signature Neon

Right out of the box, it’s easy to discern the mouse’s futuristic, themed design. It’s compact enough: not too large that it might stick out from your bag, and has a slot to store the wireless dongle at the base of the mouse, so no worries over cables.

As a whole, yes, this is most definitely a Cyberpunk 2077 mouse with that shade of yellow and black highlights. The right mouse button has a barcode design, with “Neural Connection Status: Active” printed on it. The center has the Cyberpunk 2077 logo, with the LED-lighted Razer logo underneath. It’s the Razer logo that will indicate through its colour coded lights about its status, be it charging or on low battery, so you’ll know when to use the cable as and when you need it.

On the base is where the wireless dongle storage is, which is very easy to open for connection purposes, and the on/off button as well. You can change the DPI thanks to the handy button right above the on/off switch, and you can even double check the mouse’s current DPI settings thanks to the lights: red will be 400, green will be 800, blue at 1600, cyan at 2400 and yellow at 3200. The base is 100% PTFE, allowing for smooth mouse movements on many surfaces, if not all of them.

The mouse is comfortably sized even if your hand might be on the smaller side. Granted, your level of comfort can vary from person to person, of course. The mouse itself measures 5.0″ (127mm) long, 1.5″ (38mm) tall and 2.6″ (66mm) wide, weighing in at 74g. With the mouse comes the Razer Mouse Dock Chroma, for the most efficient charging dock that can sync with other Razer Chroma accessories. As with the mouse, the dock is also entirely yellow, with a clear LED indicator for the battery level: green for full, yellow/orange as it hits 70% and below, and red when it’s almost out of juice.

That gamer certified performance

It’s not an especially loud mouse as you click around with it, and surely the smooth performance is the more important aspect? Playing a bunch of games on your chosen DPI will be buttery smooth, so no concerns there. The scroll wheel doesn’t feel the least loose or ‘light’, and thus will be performing to the standards you look for.

As for practical test scores;

With that efficiency and accuracy, what’s not to like? While the mouse is ostensibly a wireless one, you can have it wired up if you need to with the provided cable. The mouse is also fully customizable, so play around with the settings according to your needs. The HyperShift shortcut is also an option for you to set if you require it.

Wired or wireless, the mouse responds as well as ever. If you’re one who needs that competitive edge, you won’t be seeing any latency as you play. When you want your inputs to be registered, rest assured from Call of Duty: Warzone, PUBG and of course, Cyberpunk 2077 itself, the mouse will respond accordingly. It’s definitely one of the best in its class that you can get.
