The popular NBA 2K series is coming to phones with the release of NBA SuperCard, available now. It’s being developed by CatDaddy Games, who you may also remember from their work on WWE SuperCard.
2K describes the game as being a way to get your NBA fix even during the off-season, and features all the hallmarks of triple-A sports games such as the prestige of being the cover athlete.
“I can’t wait to be the first cover athlete on NBA SuperCard,” said Karl-Anthony Towns. “With more of my fans engaging with the NBA on their phones, this is an exciting way to get your basketball fix before the season tips off.”
The new mobile title features generations of NBA and WNBA superstars such as Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, WNBA stars like Candace Parker and more, giving fans the opportunity to collect their favorite NBA or WNBA stars, battle other players from across the globe, train their cards, win stronger rewards in weekly quests, prepare their decks to get into the next tier and enjoy it all over again.
The first season of NBA SuperCard will launch with several exciting features and add new updates in the coming months, such as:
- Weekly events and limited edition cards;
- New packs and pack types;
- New card tiers;
- Exclusive sales and one-time deals;
- New players and rookies;
- Additional event types;
- Crafting materials and customized card creation;
- Collectibles System and popular modes brought over from MyNBA2K.
