Step into the ring with WWE Undefeated, the new mobile fighting game based on the WWE. The game is available now for Android and iOS devices.
The game is developed by nWay, developers of Power Rangers: Legacy Wars and Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. It’s free-to-play, with in-app purchases.
It’s a 2D fighter, unlike the more party-game format of console WWE games like 2K Battlegrounds or the annual release WWE 2K games. Sadly this means you can only play it 1v1,
The game is similar to other mobile fighters like Skullgirls Mobile where you customize your fighters with special moves. These allow you to even have your own custom finishers for your superstars.
By virtue of having a more cartoony style, the game embraces the more silly side of WWE shown in 2K Battlegrounds, complete with supermoves.
They’ve also ditched the creepy bobbleheads from 2K battlegrounds, instead giving a more cartoony style that’s still recognizable to the wrestlers such as The Rock.
Considering all the good will nWay’s generated with the success of Battle for the Grid, there’s a lot to be excited for with the game. Undefeated seems to not be as flashy as its predecessor, though has more of a focus on the rock-paper-scissors of fights.
