A Monster Hunter Movie Collaboration has been announced for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. The event will start December 4th and feature the star of the upcoming movie.
The event sees Artemis, played by Milla Jovovich, enter Monster Hunter World the same way previous crossover characters like Geralt of Rivia have. She carries with her her own dual blades used in the movie.
While the trailer only gives us a small peek at what players can expect from the collaboration, Capcom Unity has more details:
The Monster Hunter Movie collaboration quests will be single player only, and will have players playing as Artemis (voiced by Milla Jovovich) as she hunts two monsters who also appear in the Monster Hunter movie. This isn’t the first time the game has you switching characters, as you did the same during the Witcher collaboration.
While the first quest is a Black Diablos, it seems like the second event quest will be a “Greater Rathalos”. Capcom are being mum about what makes this Rathalos different, but it’s safe to assume it has something to do with its absurd size.
The Artemis armor set comes with several skills like Earplugs and Health Boost, as well as Hasten Recovery, which was previously exclusive to Nergigante armor.
In addition, all NPCs will have their voices switched to “Monster Hunter language” while Artemis will speak English.
The Monster Hunter movie opens in the US December 25th. To put it lightly we don’t know when it’s coming to Malaysia, due to cinemas ceasing operations for the rest of the year due to COVID-19.
