Project 007 announced by IO Interactive

IO Interactive announced a working title, Project 007. As you might guess from the name, this will be a James Bond title, from the studio that has brought you Hitman. You can check out the teaser trailer below:

The teaser website is also barebones for now, with the option to subscribe to a newsletter for updates. With Hitman 3 on the horizon with an expected launch for 21 January 2021, it would seem that hands will soon be free for Project 007. The teaser website is also a recruitment drive for those with the chops to make their mark.

It’s Bond, James Bond.

Project 007 (working title) is a brand new James Bond video game to be developed and published by IO Interactive.

Featuring a wholly original Bond story, players will step into the shoes of the world’s favourite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story.

IO Interactive is currently recruiting elite talent from around the world to join the team that will build out this exciting and unique gaming title.

It’s curious to see them use origin story, since there’s ostensibly already the Casino Royale movie which was the beginning of Bond’s career. A game for a time even earlier than that? We’ll also need to see who will be Bond too, so stay tuned.
