In a statement today, Razer says that all their products made for Xbox One devices would have forwards compatibility with the next-gen Xbox Series X|S
The full list of Razer products that will be compatible with the next-gen consoles is as follows:
- Razer Nari Ultimate Designed for Xbox
- Razer Wolverine Ultimate
- Razer Wolverine Tournament Edition
- Razer Atrox Designed for Xbox arcade stick
- Razer Thresher Designed for Xbox
- Razer Turret Designed for Xbox
One of the biggest take-aways from this is the compatibility of the Razer Atrox, the company’s arcade stick. Arcade sticks are always one of the most annoying peripherals, often being made incompatible between console generations. It’s good to know that Razer is committed to keeping players from buying another arcade stick this generation.
Similarly, the Razer Nari is Razer’s gaming headset for the Xbox One. It features haptic feedback, which is a unique function for a pair of headphones. According to Razer, this will go great with the Xbox Series X|S ‘s own haptic feedback implementation.
Of course, you couldn’t jump into the next-gen without a controller. For the die hard Razer fans out there, you’ll be pleased to know the Razer Wolverine controller will also be compatible with the upcoming generation of Xbox Consoles.
The Xbox Series X|S launches November 10th, 2020.
