Darth Vader Bust Announced By Royal Selangor

Sometimes, you’re too good for bog-standard merch. You want the finer things in life and thanks to the Star Wars X Royal Selangor collaboration, you’ll get it. The pewter company announced a new Darth Vader bust, with several variants will make a fine addition to your collection.

The Star Wars busts come in three different colors, setting you back between RM1950 to RM2800. These are a normal pewter, as well as limited edition black and 24K gilded variants.

The black version is limited to 500 pieces, while the Gilded bust is limited to 300. Out of the three, the Gilted is the most expensive, sitting at RM2800.

The limited edition busts come with a special number plate on the back, so your statue will have a unique number showing where it sits in the series.

According to Royal Selangor, the release is in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of the now-iconic Empire Strikes Back.

It features Darth Vader with his arm outstretched, his hand in the same pose as when he chokes out an imperial officer in Episode IV.

The sculpt is excellently detailed, with close-ups showing even small details under the back of his helmet being represented in the bust.

Darth Vader is arguably one of the most iconic villains in pop culture, with many of his lines becoming a treasure trove of movie parodies.

Royal Selangor is no stranger to the sci-fi juggernaut, having produced many Star Wars products in the past. These include a 1:1 scale replica of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s lightsaber, as well as pewter statues of other characters such as Yoda.
