The debut trailer for Pac-Man Geo has just been published by Bandai Namco as a follow-up to its announcement of the game for the Android and iOS platforms.
Description of this free-to-play title from its store page as follows:
PAC-MAN GEO will allow players to experience the real world as the yellow guy himself in this geographic information game.
New York, Paris, Tokyo… make a PAC-MAN maze by choosing from a variety of real-world streets. Go for the high score on unique real-world streets and collect landmarks from famous places all over the world, even from the comfort of home.
PAC-MAN is at last hitting the streets of the real world.
Now that we have seen a bit of what the gameplay entails, it appears that there will be some globetrotting involved with the usual Pac-Man stuff that we have come to love over the decades. Then again, this will be a free-to-play title, so expect some monetisation mechanics to be implemented, possibly stamina restores and the like. Also worth mentioning that Google did something like this years ago with its April Fool’s joke, so we do wonder if the game will play anything like that.
Remember, pre-registration for the game is currently available on Google Play and the App Store.
