Bandai Namco Entertainment‘s Kotobuki Squadron in the Wilderness: Takeoff Girls in the Sky ends service on 14 December. The game was made for Android and iOS, available in Japan only. The game was an adaptation of the anime, Kouya ni Kotobuki Hikoutai, featuring the titular squadron of female mercenary pilots fending off pirates that plague the skies.
The girls had their 3D models rendered in game, where you were able to increase affection through gift-giving. There was also a story mode, as you might expect. Your aircraft could be customized to use in battles, with an auto-combat system also available. The plane would have been needed to be upgraded accordingly throughout the game.
The Kotobuki game launched in February last year, so it was pretty close to two years of service. Too bad for those who were trying to have hope for an English release.
