After a long and hard battle, San Francisco Shock have come out on top as the champions of Overwatch League 2020. The team defeated Seoul Dynasty 4-2 to successfully defend their Championship title.
The Shock are the reigning champions of Overwatch League, having first taken the title in 2019 against the Vancouver Titans. This is the first time in Overwatch League history they’ve had a back-to-back champion.
In addition to winning the Championship, Nam-joo “Striker” Kwon was awarded the 2020 Grand Finals MVP presented by T-Mobile. He was awarded so for his 72 final blows as Hanzo and Tracer. Last year, fellow Shock member Hyo-bin “ChoiHyoBin” Choi was named MVP.
Those who missed the game’s live broadcast can rewatch a special broadcast at the Overwatch League website. The broadcast starts at 12.00 PDT (Tuesday, 3am Malaysian). Tuning in to the re-broadcast stream will still get you the in-game rewards.
