Publishers Koei Tecmo’s game title Ciel nosurge: Requiem for a Lost Star DX and Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star DX will be launched on 28th January in Japan.
This remastered version of the Surge Concerto series RPG series will be launched on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Ciel Nosurge Overview
For those who are unfamiliar with the series, originally as a PS Vita title, the game revolves around the objective of the player trying to help a girl who lives in another dimension with amnesia to regain her lost memories. And as most visual novels go, the option to choose to have a romantic relationship with the characters is available.
Another gameplay element of the Ciel Nosurge series is the ability to create fairies called Sharl which are used to scan barcodes in the game. Different barcodes create a different type of Sharl, which are needed to repair Ion’s mind.
Besides the main visuals being released, a teaser website for Ciel Nosurge DX & Ar Nosurge DX was also made in conjunction for this remastered version.
As mentioned previously, Ciel Nosurge was first released for the PS Vita back in April of 2012 in Japan. Ciel nosurge Re:Incarnation, a re-release including all of the original game’s patches and downloadable content up until that point, was released in February 2013; and Ciel nosurge Offline, an offline-only version of the game, followed in October 2014.
Ar nosurge was first released for PlayStation 3 in March 2014 in Japan, followed by PS Vita as Ar nosurge Plus in October 2014. The PlayStation 3 version was released worldwide in September 2014, followed by the PS Vita version in July 2015.
