Lo-Fi themed Mobile Game “Lo-Fi Room” Announced

Indie Developers Bearmask Studios’ upcoming game titled “Lo-Fi Room” is part hidden item finder part rhythm game which is planned to be released sometime in 2021.

While you can try out the demo version over at the game’s official website, the gameplay of Lo-Fi Room is essentially you find musical instruments that are partially hidden in the map and then playing said instrument when you find it.

Once you’ve completed the rhythm game part of the specific instrument, it will then be progressively added to the song in the background. As you continue to find additional instruments it will layer them into the track and you’ll continue to build beats which follows the main character through their day, effectively creating the soundtrack to their life.

Lofi-Room is inspired by the recently popularized by the live YouTube channels that feature 24/7 Lo-Fi beats where people would tend to have it play in the background while they do their stuff. It was initially created for Music Game Jam 2018 and also won the G-Star Big Indie Pitch last year where the judges were evidently very impressed by what they saw.

The calm and relaxing music featured in this game might be a fresh take on compared to other game titles available out there. The game will be available for Android devices and PC sometime in 2021.
