Sony announced that they’d be pushing the limits on what you can do with a mobile phone with the Xperia 5 II. The phone will be available in December 2020, though no price has been announced.
The phone features several unique features, primarily with its camera. It features technology from the Alpha Series cameras. This includes Real-time Eye AF1, which allows clear photos for both humans and animals alike. Moreover, it comes with 20-fps burst shooting, with a continuous Autofocus so you can get even the most high-action shots with extreme clarity.
That’s not all, as the phone also features the world’s first 4K HDR slow-motion video on a smartphone. Videos recorded at 24fps on the Xperia 5 II can be played back at up to 5 times slower, allowing you to take the cinematic shots you want straight from your pocket.
It’s not all about the camera, though, as the phone also has a fancy display. This phone comes with a 21:9 CinemaWide™ 6.1” FHD+ HDR OLED display to make sure you’re viewing your videos at their prettiest.
Of course, the phone is also good for gaming. The screen has a refresh rate of 120hz, meaning you can play even the most high-action games. without worrying about the framerate not catching up. It’s also got a 240hz touch scanning. so you’re not going to have to worry about muddy touch inputs as you game. According to Sony, this makes it 35% more responsive than the previous Xperia 5.
The phone will come in Pink, Blue and Black. Those interested can pick up the phone in December from Sony Stores KLCC & The Curve, Sony Store Online, and the Sony flagship store on Lazada.
